Komodo Dragon Compilation Monsoon Season

OUR TOP WILDLIFE PHOTOS FROM

THE KOMODO
NATIONAL PARK
NUSA TENGGARA, INDONESIA
DURING THE WET (MONSOON) SEASON - FEBRUARY 2016

We spent 2 weeks in Labuan Bajo and the Komodo National Park during the non tourist season which was the monsoon or wet season.
As we had been here before, we explored the island of Rinca on our own and
without a guide.

Our experience this time was very different from 8 months ago.
Back in the winter (dry season) it was breeding season and the big females where making their nests while the large males were fighting amongst themselves for mating rights.
The rangers informed us we might not see many big ones and we mainly saw smaller 1.5m Dragons.

This time during the wet season with the Dragons it was a very different experience!!
We saw mainly Male Dragons that were all around 3m/10ft in length.

A 1.5m/5ft Dragon compared to a 3m/10ft Dragon is no comparison as the bigger ones are a lot more imposing and are prepared to hunt an adult human.
These are our favourite photos from our time in the park.
